Mastercourse: Getting up to date with LI


This step-by-step process-oriented presentation of “why LI works the way it works” will empower you as a LI therapist and allow you to:

  • Grasp the psychobiological model of LI
  • Be oriented from the very beginning
  • Know how to create safe conditions for starting LI therapy
  • Understand the most appropriate protocol to use
  • Apply an attuned dynamic (for ex. bouncing cues or not)
  • Explore the many ways to regulate the LI process

Supported by the current knowledge about trauma, body and mind, you will strengthen your expertise in:

  • Using Siegel’s WOT and coherent map of self
  • Porges’ Polyvagal theory
  • The psychobiological sense of dissociation
  • Assessing the clients into types 1, 2 and 3, according to the severity of traumatisation
  • Distinguishing the 3 stages of LI and knowing when to shift
  • Using the client’s protections as allies
  • Tracking the movement of the client’s ANS during your session

You will get a get a coherent update on the actual state of LI protocols, with a major focus on:

  • Which protocols for stage I, stage II and stage III
  • When to use or not to use PTSD or RC or Baseline in stage I
  • Baseline revisited
  • Baseline variations like “agreeable or disagreeable”
  • Baseline plus, understanding the underlying principles
